Microbiology Class Links
Microbiology and Bacteriology
This site has a lot of great content as far as explaining different aspects that are covered in class. Beware that it is a little
difficult to navigate and some of the content seems to be missing. It reads a little better than the book as far as explaining a
little more. There are some short movies that will help in explaining some of the different aspects that are covered in class.
Metabolism and Biochemistry
These pages originate from Washington State University. I have broken it down into the tests that we take. This is a great
way to supplement the class lectures. Be careful if you go to this site's links section, as many of the links are no longer valid.

record straight.
BACTERIOLOGY at UW-MADISON
This site has many links on it that will aide in the discovery of Microbiology. There are a lot of professor edited pages as well
as pages from students. This site also has an online textbook, which I must say is just as technical as our own. Once
again, however, this is a reference site and not a substitution for studying.
Beginners Guide to Molecular Biology
Real simple. Read the headline
Biology of Microorganisms
Basically this is an online textbook. Just another resource.
Bad Bug Book U.S. FDA
This handbook provides basic facts regarding foodborne pathogenic microorganisms and natural toxins. Just another
resource.
Online Biology Book
This is not necessarily a micro resource page, but it does have some interesting topics on ATP and many other biology
related materials
