This page has two pictures of the Microscope.
Measurements are also here for your assistance.

The one on the Right
loads faster, but the
one on the left is
closer to the ones we
use in class.
Microscope measurements:
Magnification:

Eyepiece is always 10X for these classes. Therefore take the eyepiece magnification and
multiply it to the objective lens magnification and you will get the total magnification.

Examples:                     Objective                    Total Magnification
                               4X                                        40X            Lowest Power (Finder)
                               10X                                      100X            Low Power
                               40X                                      400X          High Dry Power
                               100X                                    1000X        Oil Immersion Power
Measurements in general (METRIC): (Micro Students, this may be on the test!)
1 meter             =            100cm (centimeters)
1 cm                  =            10mm (millimeters)
1mm                 =            1000 micrometers (micron)
